What an authentic experience. We sat down and read the reviews and honestly, they got us a bit worried. But the food and service was amazing. You just need to be open for a new experience. We took 2 different menus and we were so full by the time we came to the third course, which was cheese. Cheese was also an experimence in itself.Everything is prepared old fashion. And we loved it (and we are two 30-years-olds)

Very friendly welcome from proprietor as well as the local fauna in the form of dog, cat and pony. Relaxed dining in the garden with great cuisine!

The restaurant was closed. I arrived and looked through the window in disappointment and desperation as I was starving and it was raining. There were no other restaurants within cycling distance. The woman inside was busy sweeping but she spotted me and opened the door, confirming in french that they were closed. I said it was ok and I had some pasta in my bag, but suddenly I was being welcomed inside and seated in the empty but warm restaurant. She stopped her work and went off into the kitchen to make me a sandwich. I sat listening to the rain and looking round the old wooden room, crowded with the stuff of life in le morvan; hunting weapons and trophies, old enameled jugs and engraved dishes. She re-emerged with a huge sandwich wrapped in foil and wished me good luck with a wave as I left.A moment of true humanity.

True authentic Morvandieux place! Good food, very nice people and the ambiance is truly cute! A lot of locals that come here for lunch, so that's always a good sign! And... open in January and dogs are welcome (do mind that it is a bit tight inside). Greatful we found this spot, we will come back again! We had 2 entrecote with salad and pomme gratin (both very large portions), 2 desserts, 4 blond beers, coffee and tea: 84 euros

Homemade products. The terrine was very tasty. Fabulous quality for a very good price. The meat was delicious, as well was the desert. Compliments to the chef. Merci!
